Chapter Committees: Committees play an essential role in the chapter’s growth and are the backbone of a successful chapter. Effective use of committees offers members opportunities to develop their leadership skills and expand their understanding of how the chapter operates. Committees are also the training ground for future leadership and a place where new leaders can test and refine their skills and abilities.
Chapters may also create ad-hoc committees or task forces, to provide temporary leadership and manpower to short-term projects such as awards or special events, membership drives, member appreciation or service projects.
Why volunteer for chapter committees and task forces? No term limits, short-term obligation, training for chair position, stay involved after term on council ends, mentor other volunteers, and experience a variety of activities!
