March 2021 - TGCC Newsletter Print

A Message from your TGCC President

Dear NKBA Members & Colleagues,

Wow! What a year it has been, from our continuous effort to battle the pandemic to the recent snow/freeze disaster that hit our state.

My heart goes out to all those affected, and I hope you all are safe. Remember we are here to support you. So, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to help.

With so much uncertainty, I remain certain and hopeful that we will overcome the challenges, and that positive changes will evolve. Now more than ever, our NKBA vision for healthy and safe design is very crucial.

When spending more time at home, it is important to live in a space that meets your needs. Based on the recent released NKBA “2021 Market Outlook”, COVID-19 pandemic is having a substantial influence on the kitchen and bath industry. The 2021 projected growth forecast for kitchen and bath is 16.6% in spending, 22.3% new construction, and 9.9% remodels. This reverses the gloomy expectation of last Spring, and proved the housing market will lead the economy out of these doldrums.

During and after the virtual KBIS last month, the live event offered us a world class education, entertainment, engagement, and of course a variety of new trends and products. With that said, I would like to remind you to take a full advantage of the on-demand sessions available some till end of March others till June.

KBIS brought us great news! With your support, our chapter won the “Membership Growth Award” for 2020 based on the number of members joining our chapter. Many thanks to all of members for your continuous trust and support. Also, congratulations to our communications chair “Mo” Agha for wining “the Best Communication Chair Star Award”. We appreciate your dedication and commitment.

Our Texas Gulf Chapter family continues to grow. I am pleased to announce Catalina Yturralde of CY interiors as our new secretary/ treasurer. In addition, many committees are joining our efforts to bring you terrific programing and events and to add value to your membership.

We would love for you to join our team. If you are interested, please don’t hesitate to contact us for info. Also, follow our social media platforms to the latest and greatest new. We are looking forward to seeing you and like many of you craving the experience of face-to-face gatherings.  We are committed to your safety; we will do our best to make your wish come true without jeopardizing your health.

Even in the light of the disappointment of 2020 and what 2021 have brough so far, we are still thinking positively that we will see you soon and enjoy an amazing year.
